Life Story for Edward Whitfield III III

Edward Whitfield III III
To everything there is a season; a time to be born”… Ecclesiastes 3:1
On a seemingly warm sunny day, in the great City of Olympia Fields Illinois, July 15th, 1986 to be exact, a screaming, bouncing handsome chocolate baby boy was born to the parentage of Edward Whitfield Jr and Iris Poindexter-Whitfield, After much consideration, they decided to name him Edward. He received his formal education from St. Lawrence O’Toole, Nob Hill Elementary School, Prairie Hills Middle School and then walked across the stage Hillcrest High School.
“When I was a child” II Corinthians 13:11
Edward was a great family man; he loved being around and participating in all family events. He was surrounded by his siblings Amber and Amanda; they shared a great unbreakable bound of friendship, laughter and most of all, love.
Church was a very intricate part of Edward’s life. He was an active church member, growing up under the Leadership of the Bishop Lillian Cullar and the Love Outreach A.M.E Church.
Edward was a visionary and progressive soul, that had aspired to make a difference and live with a purpose. In 2004, He made one of the most noble decisions in life, and signed up to serve in the United States Military and in 2008 enrolled in the reserves.

“A time to love’. Ecclesiastes 3:4
Edward had a genuine love for GOD, which was far greater to him than anyone could imagine. He prayed and GOD honored Edwards request and he met a beautiful young lady by the name of Marilyn Whitfield, This loving relationship which completed Edwards very being, led him to ask for her hand in marriage, and to this beautiful union four amazing children were born.
“I am now ready to be offered”… II Timothy 4:6
On July 6th, 2017 “in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye” Edward heard the master say, “Well Done Thy Good & Faithful Servant” he crossed the finish line of this life, and transitioned from earthly labor to his heavenly reward. Edward Whitfield was greeted at the pearly gates of heaven with open arms by his beautiful wife Marilyn.

“I will not leave you comfortless”… St. John 14:13
